joyce manor (apparently NOT pronounced may-nor) casting a blue light on the exits

"double IPA iPad kid at the brewery" Beer 9.2%ABV

April 10, 2026

Working on a few projects while the weather starts to get nice. I have a new sign in the works (hopefully getting to it this weekend) and I have this really interesting secret project that i’m documenting for a surprise pen-pal experience. i’ll write more about it after i’ve mailed it out.

gave myself too much time to get back to JFK, so i had time to get this down. enjoying the coleto 5, i swear i dont use it enough in my sketchbook.

last week the same friend I was able to see out in Manhattan was able to come out to visit me in Chicago for a long weekend. Had a blast catching up, drinking a ton of beer and laughing.

The back porch has been cleared out, and we’re ready to build our nest. My dream is to get a couch out there like I did in college, but most everyone thinks it’s a (justifiably) horrible idea. I do remember leaving enough garbage out on the back porch that we had a party of raccoons fight over scraps once a week.

very very very very very very large quarter next to a normal sized drawing

I thought i could try filling out an entire ugly book using a .005 multiliner and a magnifying glass. I was able to finish one page (not worth scanning) and it took me about 3 nights to fill out. it STARTED with drawing on a postcard for a pen-pal and will probably END there as well. I used to draw incredibly small as a kid too- had to get glasses because my face was too close to the page all the time.

had an idea for my 3rd sign (still on 2nd), this was done about a year ago back in boston. I’m getting a new tool to help me cut cardboard more precisely next month,
